Israel saw the largest amount of trials taking place, in 2020, at 62.5%.

South and Central America saw a 58% increase in the number trials taking place.

Brazil, Argentina and Chile made up the most trials in the region, with 41.1%, 23.3% and 12.3%, respectively.

Europe

Europe saw a 28% increase in oncology related trials taking place.

France saw the largest percentage of trials taking place in the region at 10.9%.

Spain and Germany also made up a significant proportion of the trials taking place.

Africa

Despite being placed fifth, Africa still saw an increase in the number of oncology trials.

The region saw a 26% increase in the number of trials.

Egypt made up 51.2% the largest proportion of trials taking place in the region.

South Africa and Eswatini also made up a large amount of the trials taking place with 44.2% and 2.3%, respectively.

North America

North America saw the biggest decrease in oncology trials.

The number of trials in the region fell by 13% between 2010 and 2020.

The United States saw the largest percentage of trials taking place in the region with 83.9%.

Mexico saw the fewest trials taking place in the region at 3%.
